Back to the 50's Classic Car Show - Grants Pass, Oregon

A few weeks ago Dave and I attended the "Back to the 50's" car show which took place in Grants Pass, Oregon.

It was truly a gorgeous day for a car show and there were a lot of beautiful cars to look at.

Below are some of our highlights from the show! I wore a repro Mexican skirt I picked up at the San Diego Vintage Flea Market a few years back and an off the shoulder black Bettie Page top.

Dave has been pretty camera shy lately so we've begun this game where I try to get a photo of him without him knowing it.  Gotcha Dave!

We love us some beautiful Cadillacs!

Owning a 1956 Thunderbird is definitely a dream of mine.

I love this detail.

So morbid, yet so cool.

The color of this car matched my skirt!

Gotcha Dave!

Here is a Disney fun fact.  This is the same car that the Weasels (aka the Toon Patrol) drove in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?".

I love it when a parking lot is filled with classic cars!

Dave's all time favorite and dream car, a Packard.

Gotcha again Dave!

Another dream of ours is to purchase a vintage travel trailer and restore it.  This one was too cute!

Love the atomic detailing on this steering wheel.

This 1950 Ford shoebox was the same year, make and model of the car I was driven in on our wedding day by Dave's Best Man, Paul. I absolutely loved the color of this one.

This Cadillac was a stunner in person.

My grandpa used to own a military Jeep just like this one.  He used to wear his Indiana Jones style hat and take us grandkids for a joyride on his property which was located in Mariposa, CA.  He earned his nickname Indiana Gramps because of this of course.  My Dad ended up taking the Jeep from him, which my Dad just recently passed onto his brother, my Uncle, who would likely get more use out of it than my Dad was.

Dave wishes this was his 33'!

I loved the color and interior of this Bel Air.

Cleanest Bronco I think I have ever seen.

Loved these old advertisements this owner was using as some added swag for their car.

This was one of the vehicle's used in the film "Rebel Without a Cause".

Dave being silly!

I bet this gentleman was burning up in his Pendleton! It was easily a 90 degree, or more, hot kind of day.

Love me a pretty wagon.

We love that there are so many car shows in our area.  Looking forward to attending the Ratrod-o-Rama festival in Pottsville, OR at the end of this week.

Till' Next Time,

Suz
