Aprons, Aprons, and More Aprons!

Sorry folks :(  I realized it has been a couple weeks since my last posted blog.  I am just finishing up the end of the year tax deadline at work and have been extremely busy and trying my best to multi-task with what little time I have available in the evenings.  Dave and I are gearing up for our cross Cali road trip.  We are heading up north to visit my parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends in between.  We will be visiting Medford, OR as well as Yosemite for part of our trip.  We are both really excited about the journey ahead of us!  I have a few blogs headed your way before I depart for my trip with thrifting finds I have accumulated over the past month.  I have been very lucky finding some awesome aprons.

The first has this awesome eggplant print and has full coverage.  It is in excellent condition with no stains, holes, tears, etc.  The print and darted upper shape is what sold me on it.

The next one I found the same day I found my futon.  I'm such a sucker for hand made finds.

My third apron for the month was actually one I won!  I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Jenny Rae at Dapper Day last February.  I was blown away by her costume for the day and found that she is a baker and event planner based out of Los Angeles.

She most recently provided her Lil' Rae Cakes at the Premiere for Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie".

She has fantastic style which is evident in her mini cake designs.

I entered a facebook contest she organized and ended up winning one of her aprons!  I have been saving opening it for a while as I wanted to wait until I really needed something to brighten me up at the end of a long day.  It sure did the trick!  So cute!!

Well that's all for now folks.  Hope you are all having an awesome month so far.  I unfortunately will not be planning any elaborate costumes for Halloween this year as it coincides with other plans. :(  I do however have a flapper costume as a back up if needed. What are you all dressing up as for Halloween?

Till' Next Time,

Suz

  1. Yosemite I think is still dealing with that virus that is killing people.

    Be careful!

    1. I read about that. According to the source I read the people that got the virus were staying in the cabins/tents in the village area. We are just going for the day. Thanks for the concern :)

  2. That first apron is just so snazzy and great! I'm more than a little envious.
